For the past eight years, my husband Danny and I have made Gatlinburg and the “Southern Nights” cabin a special part of our lives, beginning with our honeymoon! What started as a honeymoon getaway has become one of our most cherished annual traditions. But what makes this place truly special isn’t just the beautiful cabin, peaceful surroundings, or breathtaking mountain views. It’s Kim! Over the years, Kim has become like family to us. She always goes above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Every year, we arrive to find some thoughtful surprise waiting for us, whether it’s champagne, fresh flowers, a personalized “Happy Anniversary Danny and Kim” sign, or s’mores to enjoy during our stay. It’s those personal touches that make us feel so loved and welcomed. And let’s not forget the bears! Seeing the bears visit the cabin is always one of the highlights of our trip. There’s just something special about sitting back, enjoying the beauty of God’s creation, and watching these magnificent animals in their natural surroundings. The cabin is comfortable, inviting, and truly feels like our home away from home. It’s where we’ve celebrated anniversaries, made beautiful memories, and enjoyed precious time together year after year. After eight years, we can’t imagine celebrating our anniversary anywhere else. We’ve stayed at Southern Nights every year since our honeymoon, and it continues to be our favorite anniversary tradition. This couples-only cabin is the perfect mix of cozy intimacy and modern comfort — with a relaxing indoor jacuzzi, a private hot tub on the back porch, and even a washer and dryer for convenience. It’s spotless, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully stocked with every essential. Kim is an exceptional host who always goes above and beyond, greeting us with champagne and an anniversary sign that makes each visit feel personal and special. The cabin is close to everything in Gatlinburg, yet tucked away enough to feel completely peaceful — you can truly have it all here. We’ve even spotted bears on several visits, making every stay unforgettable. Southern Nights will always hold a special place in our hearts.

This one room cabin was the perfect size for my husband and me. I highly recommend it. The location was great. We were only 5 minutes from downtown and it was easy to get there.

I had a 6 night rental from the end of May until the start of June. The cabin was clean and ready upon my arrival. It was just as depicted in the online pictures! Beautiful and well furnished! Kim made sure it would be ready upon my arrival and called to let me know that she was a little behind on the cleaning as I was driving in from Chicago. Kim also went the extra mile in providing extras that you don't see in most cabins: laundry soap, body wash, shampoo, hand soap and a welcoming tray of snacks! The refrigerator actually had condiments and necessary items already in there for your use. Even though I wound up not using them, I truly appreciated that they were there. As for the cabin, the king-size bed was super comfy, the shower was perfect, plus it did have a Jacuzzi tub inside and a hot tub on the front porch. The TV was set to receive all the main and necessary channels plus there was WiFi available. Outlets were plentiful throughout the cabin for phone chargers, laptops, etc. On my first night in the cabin, I opened the door to take a look out the front door at sunset and there was a momma bear and her cub just walking through the stones in front of the porch. In 25 years of traveling to the Smoky Mountains, this was my first experience in seeing a wild bear in any form, let alone so up close and personal! How cool is that? I highly recommend renting this cabin as it is perfect for 1 to 2 people in a nice, private setting with awesome accommodations! Thanks again, Kim!
